Matt Silver is a partner and broker with Corcoran Urban Real Estate and has gained a national reputation as one of the premier real estate brokers in Chicago for his in-depth market knowledge, along with his persistence to close the most prudent deal for his buyers and sellers. Known for his success over the past 21+ years working with high-profile VIPs including major league sports figures, film and media celebrities, and CEOs, Matt maintains the strictest confidentiality and privacy on their behalf while often negotiating news-making deals across Chicago. With his colleagues at Corcoran Urban, Matt takes pride in offering clients a concierge, one-on-one service, that is unparalleled in the industry, specializing in first-time and resale clients.  He believes everyone deserves the finest representation. In addition, Matt created the “Matt Silver Advocacy Endeavor Scholarship” at CAR, assisting minority Women and Men with needed capital to attend CAPCON and the NAR Midyear meetings.

Making news in 2019, Matt earned the highly sought Commitment to Excellence (C2EX) endorsement from the National Association of REALTORS. The endorsement goes to REALTORS who have demonstrated knowledge and competency in ten core areas of real estate practice including client service, professional regulation, and equal service to all. The program was created in 2018 to empower REALTORS to demonstrate their professionalism and commitment to conducting business at the highest standards.

Matt began his career in the commercial real estate sector in 1998 before making the transition to focus on residential transactions. His industry experience in the downtown Chicago and North Shore markets, along with his attention to every detail in the negotiation, affords clients near or far, the assurance that their interests are front and center. His earned industry certifications and continued quest for knowledge keep him at the forefront of industry tech and negotiating strategies, while making the process simple and enjoyable. Silver is Accomplished, Effective and Recommended.

The key to Matt’s business is walking clients through the process to better understand their end goals, ensuring their short and long-term objectives are addressed. Knowing what to ask while guiding a client through the deal results in a strategic purchase or sale that often exceeds his clients’ expectations. “I want to put my clients and their individual needs and wants at the center of the process; “I want my clients to know that I am here to advocate and represent their interests.”  I want them to always feel special.” Silver goes on to say, “luxury isn’t a one-time event, it is an experience.” Hard work and follow through guide Silver. Matt Silver has been awarded the Real Estate Five Star Professional and was featured in Chicago Magazine in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020.

Quoted by the Chicago TribuneCrain’s Chicago Business, and often featured in news stories on TV, Matt can currently be heard throughout the week on WBBM News radio 780 and 105.9FM during the Real Estate Minute. During his term as the 2017 president of the Chicago Association of REALTORS (C.A.R), Matt represented nearly 15,000 REALTOR members, and acted as their voice for real estate in Chicago. The seasoned professional brings years of experience not only knowing who the players are on the other side of the deal, but often sharing his insights with lawmakers locally, in Springfield, and in D.C., to help shape policy related to property taxes, loan programs, and private property rights. Matt has also been recognized as a Chicago REALTORS Top Producer every year since 1999.

Matt was named among a few distinguished brokers who have been appointed to represent the state REALTOR trade association, Illinois REALTORS, by being named a federal political coordinator (FPC) for the Illinois 10th Congressional District to work closely with the Hon. Brad Schneider.  The trade group also created an initiative to engage foreign consulates in promoting real estate investment in Illinois, and Matt continues to serve as the group’s liaison to the Consulate General of Israel in Chicago.

Matt earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Michigan State University – College of Business, School of Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Management. Above all, Matt’s greatest passion is his son, Grant, currently attending the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
